Hello, my name is Randi. I'm a Canadian living in Rotorua, New Zealand. I've always wanted to learn Japanese, as it's a beautiful language. It would also help me appreciate the art, media, and culture of Japan better; I really enjoy reading manga, watching anime, and learning about Japanese history. I have a basic understanding of hirigana, and know a few phrases, but otherwise I am a total beginner who is seeking someone to practice with. Hi :) I am Barbara (the short version is Barča in Czech). I learned English in school, but I don't believe in myself with speaking and generally in grammar, also extending my vocabulary isn´t a bad idea either. I study at Masaryk University in Brno, so struggling with English in my studies was another reason to sign up here. I am looking forward to finding more confidence in English language and maybe find new international friends and learn some about their culture. At the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, I started learning Swedish, currently, I know just a few words and phrases. So if we could speak in English and meanwhile correct my pronunciation of some Swedish words, it would be great. :)
