English Hi! I'm Beatriz, from Porto, Portugal. I'm a beginner artist and I've always like anime-style art and animation. Because of that, I've been trying (and failing) to learn Japanese for a few years now. As art has become a larger part of my life and also my career, I realized Japanese would not only be fun to know, but also a potentially important part of my life, and started studying seriously. Hi, I am Ian and I'm interested in learning Japanese. I started shortly before New Years 2024 and I've been learning everyday since then. My hobbies are a bit nerdy. I program (Also as a job), play video games and watch anime. I also want to get into making music although that needs to wait a bit since taking another hobby might take too much time. I am a native Swiss person so the language I can offer is standard German. Swiss German should also be possible if you are interested. Hi, I’m originally from Hong Kong, but I moved to Canada when I was young, so my Cantonese has gotten pretty rusty from not using it much. Now I’m hoping to learn Mandarin so I can communicate better with the Chinese people in my area. Some of my hobbies include cooking, watching shows, and going for walks around my neighborhood. I’ve also found that one of the best ways for me to practice languages is by gaming online with a language partner. If you’re into gaming too, that’s great — if not, I’m sure we’ll find another fun way to practice and learn together. Looking forward to practicing Mandarin and English with you!
