Hello wonderful people of the world! My name is Silas, I'm 25, born and raised in the U.S. I'm half black and half Native American (Choctaw specifically, my great grandmother was born and raised on a Native Reservation and my grandfather was born less than 20 miles off of it.) I'm a fluent speaker of both English and my mother language of Chahta Anno̱pa, (Choctaw language) and having grown up in a city with a lot of Spanish speakers I was formerly fluent in Spanish too. (A goal I'm working towards is getting back fluent in that language again!) I'm an avid reader, writer and nature lover with a great joy for learning (and practicing) new languages. I'm very warm-hearted, kind, patient and compassionate with other people and I have a big heart for learning things about other people's culture and customs. I come from a very academically rigorous background, as I used to be a tutor in High School and College. I'm actually in the process of getting my TEFL certification so that by the end of 2026 I'll be fully certified at teaching English! (Another one of my goals is finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering). I'm a very kind, patient, open and accepting person, and if you reach out to me for help in learning English I'll do my best to help you! I have over 5 years of tutoring experience in English, so I can safely say I can help give you a structured way of learning the language and quickly improving your confidence in speaking and listening, and setting you on a fast track to near-native levels of fluency. I feel like language is the doorway to the human soul, and for that reason I'm determined to learn and practice as many languages as possible. I've been doing language exchange for two years now, and I'm so honored to have met so many kind, warm hearted and wonderful people on this site! I never thought I would ever come this close to reaching my language goals in such a short period of time, but thanks to the friends I've made here I can proudly say I've made great progress. I really have a passion for learning new things and making friends with new people and will always make time to talk to you if you reach out to me. Thank you to all the people who have helped me on this site! I'm definitely going to try to pay it forward to anyone who needs my help. 😊 If you have any questions about myself or my cultural upbringing, ask away! I promise you I'm a completely open book. I look forward to learning more about you and your language soon, 😄

My name is Mykolas, I’m 22 years old. I’m originally from Lithuania, now living in The Netherlands. I study engineering and my main hobbies are video games, coding, cycling, and reading. My native languages are English and Lithuanian and I can help you with your pronunciation, grammar, or we can just have a conversation to improve day-to-day skills. I really want to learn Mandarin Chinese. Although currently my level of speaking (and especially reading) is relatively low, I’m really excited to improve it!:)

Hi, I moved to Jerusalem from the US in July 2025. I'm interested in learning Palestinian and/or Levantine Arabic (I know a few words but can't read or write) and improving my so-so Hebrew. I don't have any formal teaching experience, but happy to teach American English to the best of my ability. Also know a little Spanish. I'm a statistical programmer and like to read, spend time outside (especially in nature), learn new things, and goof off.

Hello everyone! I am Ed/エド, an English professor in Southern California, U.S. I want to sustain my upper intermediate Japanese skills through messaging and video meeting on a weekly basis, especially after completing four language classes at the community college in Fall 2022. I like to consider myself trilingual but I'm trying to do better each day. I am also open to helping others with their English, Spanish, and Japanese proficiency, and while I am primarily studying Japanese (as well as finding other ways to enhance my Spanish conversational fluency and learn new accents there, too) for the most part, my doors are open to learning Korean, Vietnamese, or Chinese as a fourth—and perhaps final—language for me. I tend to watch domestic and foreign films, see football in either Spanish or Japanese commentary, collect vinyl figures and Funko Pops, listen to 70s and 80s pop music, make new friends, share stories and word of advice, and keep a clean, fit life as well. ★ Enough about me: please contact me! I mainly use LINE, WeChat, and Zoom. ★ エド
