Alternatively, I can offer Thai practice for beginners. Although I'm not a native speaker, I believe my spoken Thai is competent enough for daily living and beginner exchange with someone who wants additional speaking practice 🤗

Hello! After a long career as an economist, I'm easing into a new career as a part-time English teacher. I'm especially interested in helping students or working professionals with pronunciation, business English, and English for academic purposes (e.g., preparing for study abroad, presenting at conferences, reading academic texts, etc.). I'm also curious about Japanese (I only know half of hiragana and maybe 50 words) and Korean (I've learned Hangul and know maybe 200 words, zero grammar). Actually, I was already an English teacher for two years long ago (1988-90) and now I'm going back where I started. I have a BA in English Lit and two graduate degrees in natural resource economics, so I'm happy to discuss your academic ambitions if you have any. Over the years, I've studied Latin, German, Bahasa Indonesia, and Spanish, but I still have a lot to learn about all of these.

Hi, my name is Kate. I’m an English teacher and I find great pleasure in studying new foreign languages. I come from Ukraine, but due to the war I moved to Canada and currently live there. I studied Polish for 4 years at university, but the knowledge I got there is not enough for me. I also have a little experience living in Poland.
