Hello everyone, I'm a native German speaker and a language freak. I've been working on my English intensively for about 3 years now (my English education at school was poor, since I grew up in the former GDR, the eastern part of the formerly devided country). Meanwhile, I think, it has improved a lot and I feel quite confident with it. But I'm still a learner, who makes mistakes. The grammar is not my best friend yet, because I only learned the most things by doing. Although the pronunciation of new words very often succeeds instinctively, that doesn't always work. I'd love to assist others with German in a conversational way to not get worse again and improve. I'm a huge fan of the Irish accents that are spoken more in the south of Ireland and around Dublin, but my own English is, I guess, a wild mix of everything from everywhere. I see English as a lingua franca, as kind of my door to the world, to other cultures. I love playing with language and language(s) and also like poetry, but don't know much of poetry in English yet. Besides language, my interests are manifold. I do some sports, I love nature. And I started learning to play the bodhrán. So, I think, there will always be a topic to talk about. I would really like to improve my Portuguese. I’m half Brazilian and half German (mother German, father Brazilian), but I grew up in Germany. As a child, I spoke Portuguese with my father, but since becoming an adult, I haven’t had the chance to practice with him due to time constraints. My Portuguese is therefore very rusty, and I’m definitely still a beginner. That’s why I’m looking for a Portuguese partner to practice with. 인사합니다 I've been learning Korean as an autodidact for about 2 years. That means I'm unfortunately still a novice.ㅠㅠ That's why I'm writing this introduction in English, otherwise I would need Google translation. Anyway, I would now like to speak/write to a Korean for the first time. As you can see on my description I am German, but I also have Brazilian roots and lived in Portugal during my childhood for a couple of years. However, I lived in Germany for most of my life and this is my mother tongue. So if anyone is interested in speaking or writing German with me and in return I learn some Korean, that would be great.
