Hi there, my name’s Kai . I’m like 14 and live in Berlin . I can speak already B1-B2 English, so communication shouldn’t be a problem. My mother tongue is German (the real one without accents). I love cats and I’m also a pretty enthusiastic table tennis player. I wanna improve my communication skills, I already have contact to a native English speaker but I’m missing a French speaker. Wanna learn both languages. Bye.

I would really like to improve my Portuguese. I’m half Brazilian and half German (mother German, father Brazilian), but I grew up in Germany. As a child, I spoke Portuguese with my father, but since becoming an adult, I haven’t had the chance to practice with him due to time constraints. My Portuguese is therefore very rusty, and I’m definitely still a beginner. That’s why I’m looking for a Portuguese partner to practice with. If someone would like to learn German, we could help each other reach our goal.

Hi, my name is Joel Bean- I am an English/German (and on occasion Spanish) teacher and former musician from the USA, currently living in Warsaw. I am extremely passionate about languages/culture and how it can help us to develop a much wider understanding of every aspect of life and help to build meaningful relationships with other people. With this in mind, my goal is to be able to take in the culture, language, and perspective of others with an open and curious mind, and to also be able to teach and share my own culture, language, and experience through history, music, philosophy, and other disciplines. I want to be able to foster a sense of "cultural counterpoint"; that is, the ability to see the same basic object via several lenses at once, something which can be a direct outcome of the language learning process. If this sounds good to anybody, and you would like to become a friend, please don't hesitate to reach out- I would especially be happy to meet anybody in person! I really love Steve Kaufmann and his respective methods in particular, and I would love to find others who share a similar enthusiasm for languages and in particular enjoy the process of learning. There are also several other polyglots/language enthusiasts whom I enjoy and I will be happy to name as well :) My German is at a C2 level, my Spanish is just right below, my Portuguese somewhere just under that, and my Ukrainian and Polish are somewhere in the middle (chcę zdać egzamin języka polskiego na poziomie B2 w ciągu najbliższych trzech lat) Met het Nederlands ben ik nog en beginner, maar ik find deze taal eekt leuk (i gemakkelijk) ook ik will een dag uit Polen naar Nederland verhuizen :) I would, in any case, like to refine all of the aforementioned languages to an extremely high level (with the goal of at some point being able to pass an advanced exam for all of those ) Cheers!

Hi, I'm Belgian, native in French and German and fluent in English. I have been living in Taipei for over 6 years. I studied Mandarin at Shida for 1+ year but haven't been practicing enough and my level is slipping, so I'm looking for a relaxed meetup to get back on track. I work in tech (AI software) on the business development side. Outside of work I'm into beach volleyball, pickleball, and surfing. Happy to meet for after-work drinks, dinner, or a walk in the park, whatever works. In return I can help with French, German, or English, whichever you need. Just two people, good conversation.

Hello everyone! My name is Jaron. I´m German, currently living in Hannover (but I definitely want to move somewhere else. Any suggestions? 😉) . I would love to find people to practice my English, Spanish, French and Italian with. In exchange, I´ll be more than happy to help with your German! Things I really enjoy include reading all kinds of books, writing, puzzling over life´s riddles and absurdities, going for walks or hikes, watching the leaves fall or the flowers blossom, listening to music (mostly various subgenres of Metal as well as Ambient, Nordic Folk and Stoner Rock, but I´m absolutely open to other genres), watching films /TV shows as well as getting to know interesting people and their stories. And of course, I have always loved learning languages. However, as a rather introverted guy, I tend to be shy at first and can feel quite awkward, even anxious about making mistakes or generally making a fool of myself when talking in a foreign language. (Do any of you experience this contradiction, too – genuinely wanting to connect with people from all places and walks of life while having a hard time coming out of your shell?) This has kept me from practicing and learning for far too long. But now, I´ve decided to make a change and overcome my fear of writing in and speaking foreign languages. So, if you´re up for a chat about any topic you like, do leave me a message – I look forward to being penpals with or e-meeting you soon. 😊 PS: I would greatly appreciate it if you don´t hate the LGBTIQ+ community (or any other specific group, for that matter).
