Hi, I'm Ava and I am from America. I speak English and I want to learn French and Spanish. However, I have severe anxiety when it comes to foreign language learning. I took French for only nine weeks in middle school because a hurtful teacher forced me to drop it so that I could spend more time with her which worsened my anxiety. I took Spanish for two years in high school but I never really got comfortable. I'm looking for someone who can teach me French from the beginning, as well as someone who can help me review the Spanish I remember so I can learn more. I need a lot of patience and encouragement. I need to stop having panic attacks about speaking foreign languages because I'm autistic and have a hyperfixation on foreign countries and their people. I also have loved French ever since I was little. I have some Spanish DNA as well so I'd like to learn more in order to be more comfortable in situations where I might need it.
I'm also up for practicing English with people!
If you have any questions about how we need to work on these languages together, I encourage you to ask. I have a therapy-based plan to get rid of my fear but I will need your help to put it in motion.
