Hello! After a long career as an economist, I'm easing into a new career as a part-time English teacher. In order to complete my teacher training, I need to do some practice teaching, hence I'm offering up to four 30-minute *free* online, one-on-one or small group sessions for English learners. I'm especially interested in helping students or working professionals with pronunciation, business English, and English for academic purposes (e.g., preparing for study abroad, presenting at conferences, reading academic texts, etc.). Actually, I was already an English teacher for two years long ago (1988-90) and now I'm going back where I started. I have a BA in English Lit and two graduate degrees in natural resource economics, so I'm happy to discuss your academic ambitions if you have any. Over the years, I've studied Latin, German, Bahasa Indonesia, and Spanish, but I still have a lot to learn about all of these. Additionally, if you really want to make it a language exchange rather than just focusing on English, I know Spanish pretty well (advanced learner), many Korean words and phrases but almost no grammar, and have recently started trying to pick up a bit of Japanese.
