Recently I moved to London so I've now actively searching for people to meet up with and practice face to face if possible, but okay to try communicating online as well. I have also lived in Shanghai for quite a few years previously and would be interested in meeting some people from China in order to prevent my already poor mandarin getting any worse.
Hi everyone! My name is Kuba (Jacob officially) and I am a PhD student of Physics in London, a city where I've been living for the past 3 years. Originally I am from Poland where I lived for most of my life (24 years). Although English is not my native language, I use it every day and feel fluent in it therefore wouldn't consider it as a practising language.
Currently I'm preparing for JLPT N4, so would like to work on my speaking even if it's not part of the test. I believe making friends and interacting with other people is the most exciting and satisfying part of language learning, so would like to give it a shot a see where it takes me.
I love dancing and my main style is breaking! I became quite more serious about it roughly a year ago. Now, it takes up most of my free time, excluding the time when I learn Japanese, obviously :P Sometimes I regret that I cannot combine dancing with Japanese music, but I believe everything is possible, so who knows...
I hope we'll both benefit from using this platform and we'll get along very well :)

I'm a student from the city of London, in England. I enjoy learning languages with a primary focus on Asian languages because I find the different alphabets interesting and in most cases quite beautiful.
I'm only just starting out in Korean however, and there's no one in my real life for me to practice with, hence I'm here. I hope I will find people willing to help me here who remain respectful during our conversations.
Away from languages, I enjoy reading, writing and sometimes I draw (although I'm not very good at it).
I hope you can help me and I can help you!

Hi, I am a writer, games developer and skills coach. I mostly work with computers but try to keep active with occasional sports and dance 😋
I’ve been picking up Japanese for years but I really want to learn it properly and reach a comfortable conversational level. I’ve always had an interest in Japanese culture and I find that there’s some elements you appreciate more when you understand the origins and not just listen/read translations.
I love to teach and I love to learn because it makes me a better teacher. But I’m not a teacher, not in the traditional sense, I like solving problems and telling stories that educate and inspire, and I like stories that do the same for me, regardless of the medium (be it book, film, manga, games, etc)
Now that you know a bit about me, I hope that we can talk soon and learn together 😊
